Republic Caps and Rays 8 Reales 1863 Ga-FV MS62 PCGS, Guadalajara mint, KM377.6 ("Rare"), DP-Ga46 ("Excessively rare, probably less than ten known"). Choice Mint State with gorgeous steel toning and very lustrous surfaces. Some adjustment marks noted on the eagle for accuracy's sake but a most handsome coin, very likely the finest of this extremely rare issue. The VF chopmarked ex-Parker specimen is plated in Dunigan-Parker as the "only nice example known to the authors". Extremely rare and important in this superb quality, a Gem in the series that is bound to attract serious bidding activity.
