Republic Caps and Rays 8 Reales 1859 Oa-AE MS61 PCGS, Oaxaca mint, KM377.11, DP-Oa03 ("Excessively Rare"). The variety with the cruder and larger eagle of 1858-1859. Brilliant Mint State with fewer of the expected handling marks for the designation. A small planchet flaw is visible on both sides around 9 o'clock but a highly lustrous and attractive example, in superb quality for this very rare issue, this being the finest seen of perhaps 5 confirmed examples.
