August III silver Coronation Medal 1734 AU, HCz-2751 (R2), Rcz-370. 54mm/58.07gms. By Groskurt. Obv. Rightward facing bust. Rev. Coronation ceremony. A skillfully engraved coronation medal with high relief design throughout. Mostly brilliant with light handling in the fields and very pleasing rims for a medal of this size. Rather scarce. Also included in this lot is a tiny 15mm coronation medal for August II (ca 1697) in silver signed "G.L.K" on the reverse. It is Uncirculated. Altogether, a wonderful pair of coronation issues!
