Nicholas I Poltina (1/2 Rouble) 1826 CПБ-HГ MS63 Prooflike NGC, St. Petersburg mint, Bitkin-113, Severin-2894. Obv. Crowned double-headed Imperial eagle, wings down, with date and value. Rev. Crowned four-line inscription in wreath. Sharply struck, with fully mirrored fields and frosted devices. Moderate abrasions, but the nice cameo contrast gives this piece a near-Proof appearance. Rare in this condition. An extremely rare type, with a total of only three pieces certified by NGC in Mint State, with this example the only piece certified as Prooflike.
