Nicholas I Poltina (1/2 Rouble) 1827 CПБ-HГ MS60 NGC, St. Petersburg mint, Bitkin-116, Severin-2905. Obv. Crowned double-headed Imperial eagle, wings down, with date and value. Rev. Crowned four-line inscription in wreath. A near flawless strike, with nicely mirrored fields. A number of small contact marks are noted, and the surfaces display light golden toning. NGC has not listed this example as "Prooflike" on the holder, as the previous 1826 Poltina, but it deserves such notation. Conditionally rare in Mint State, with only two examples certified by NGC in all grades.
