Saudi Arabia
Abdul Aziz bin Saud gold Pound ND (1947) MS63 PCGS, Philadelphia mint, KM35. An attractive specimen with subtle rose-gold tone, this bullion issue was struck to satisfy the obligation of the ARAMCO to the Saudi Arabian government. Having the same weight as a British Sovereign, these pieces were struck based on the British sterling system of .917 fineness which was slightly higher than the US standard of .900 fineness. A very interesting and highly-collectible type in select mint-state.
Estimate: 2500-3000 USD
