James VI 10 Shillings 1595 AU50 NGC, S-5943. Seventh coinage. A handsome example featuring the the bare-headed, armored bust of James VI and crowned, triple-headed thistle. The bold design elements are excellent for the type and sit atop silvery-gray surfaces that are nicely accented with champagne tone. Scarce, in this well-preserved quality and a coin with much allure.
