South Africa
Republic Error 2 Shillings 1894 MS64 NGC, KM6. Broadstruck Error. A most-significant error, and the finest that we remember having seen for South Africa, with exceptional design detail and gorgeous pastel tone throughout. On the obverse, the edge dentilation shows broad and crisp, while on the reverse, the flan is visibly dished. Considering the difficulty in which non-error business strikes of this date are found in near-Gem condition, the fact that this error survived so close to pristine is near miraculous. A perfect fit for any specialist in the early coinage of South Africa.
