Venezuela
Republic Gran Colombia 1/4 Real 1822 XF45 NGC, Caracas mint, KM-C31. A tad softly struck yet with partially lustrous and essentially unflawed surfaces. A good representative of this scarce and important 2-year type, part of the first coins issued by Venezuela under the Republic of Gran Colombia. The "19" on the reverse of this issue refers to the Act of April 19, 1810 which started the Independence struggle of Venezuela. This symbolism added to its scarcity in any grade make for a very coveted and popular issue, quite challenging and sought after in this better preservation.
Estimate: 3000-4000 USD
