George V Shilling 1921 MS63 PCGS, KM26, star issue. A great conditional rarity; in fact, the only Mint State offering of this date that we have been able to trace over the past decade. The next closest example was one sold by Spink in October, 2006. That coin was graded "cleaned, otherwise about uncirculated." Despite being a somewhat problematic piece, it still hammered at 2,100 GBP (about $4,000 at the time). The current coin, on the other hand, is unquestionably superior. Not only is it a solid MS63, but it has very pleasant gray toning with significant underlying luster. A very choice piece. From The Prager Collection Of Australian Coins Krause catalog price(s) for this item: $80 in VF, $500 in EF, $3850 in UNC, $7400 in BU.

Estimate: 10000-12000 USD
