Victoria Specimen 5 Cents 1872-H SP64 PCGS, Heaton mint, KM2. A coin that obviously rested in its original box of issue for ages, with surfaces that have deeply toned throughout, leaving the obverse drenched in an mixture of electric blue-green and peach shades and the reverse in rich earthy tones. Still, reflectivity remains apparent, a sign that the dies were obviously highly polished before striking occurred. One of likely only 8-10 struck for the presentation sets of the year, and even when its rarity is not considered, impressive in its own right.
