Facing bust of Yuan Shih-kai in military attire and tall, plumed hat. Rev. Value in wreath. Superbly struck, with fully lustrous, pristine surfaces, beneath a stunning overlay of steel-gray, gold, and sea-green toning. A truly spectacular example and fully the equal of the example in our August ANA auction that realized $70,500. Even though that example was certified MS68 by PCGS, this piece has considerably more eye-appeal.
