Czechoslovakia
Republic gold Ducat 1937 MS64 NGC, KM8, Fr-2. Mintage: 324. An extremely rare 20th century gold piece. We have been able to find a public sale record of just one other example having been sold in the last decade. That coin, sold by the Czech company Aurea Numismatica, sold in May 2013 for a hammer price of 240,000 CZK, or about $12,000 at the time. That coin, while technically high grade, had some distracting dark areas of toning to it. This coin, on the other hand, is pleasant and with even, lustrous surfaces with minimal marks or distractions. Krause catalog price(s) for this item: $2400 in EF, $3000 in UNC.
Estimate: 10000-15000 USD
