Essequibo & Demerary
British Colony - George III 3 Guilder 1816 MS66 NGC, Royal mint, KM15, Pr-5. An outstanding specimen with undeniably vibrant surfaces in shades of silvery-gray, champagne, and just a hint of blue iridescence woven into the reverse peripheries. The obverse exhibits several minor die breaks that, while noticeable, blend nicely into the stormy backdrop. Due to an exacting strike, the raised devices display every intricate detail fully--from the fold of George's eyelid to the delicate veins on of the reverse leaves. A rare and enticing example of this popular type, rarely offered in this premium state of preservation.
