Saxony. Johann Georg I gold 2 Ducat 1630 MS66 NGC, KM421, Fr-2701. Struck on the Centennial of the Augsburg Confession, this premium specimen features the right facing, sword holding busts of Johann Georg I and Johann dated 1630 and 1530 respectively. An unbelievably flawless specimen considering the intricate design elements and age of this piece. The boldly-struck devices are impeccable, the flan is straight, and the surfaces are complete with outstanding mint luster. At present, this is the finest-known certified example of this type with the second highest graded MS64 by NGC. Incredibly rare and in an impossibly high-grade designation.
