George V gold 5 Pounds 1911 PR65 Cameo PCGS, Royal mint, KM822, S-3994. Well above average for the type. Looking at the PCGS Population Report for this type, the vast majority are graded 63 and 64; only a select few manage the reach the coveted "Gem Mint State" level of 65. While there certainly are 66's out there (such as the preceding lot), 65's should not be considered "common" by any means. Quite the contrary; an example graded PR65, such as this one, is something that should be prized by the quality-conscious collector. This coin has great eye appeal with lightly frosted devices and highly reflective fields; an all around fantastic piece!
