Hermann Roth gold 10 Ducats ND (1690-1726) MS61 NGC, Kremnitz mint, Fr-571 (incorrectly marked on insert), Huszar-8. A most alluring specimen, part of the medallic series of Kremnitz, that was struck beginning in the 17th century and features various illustrations of St. George slaying the Dragon and Christ with apostles weathering a storm. This particular example features attractive, darkened patina with auburn highlights that cling to the devices. Surrounded by Latin legends, the reverse presents a wonderfully detailed motif full of symbolism and rich in appearance. The signature "HR" is stamped on the obverse and corresponds to the era of Hermann Roth. An immense and pleasing example with incredible eye-appeal.
