Jeremias Roth Senior gold 5 Ducats ND (1690-1751) MS63 NGC, Kremnitz mint, Fr-575, Huszar-15. This large, medallic issue boasts aesthetically pleasing design motifs that soar above bright, golden surfaces that exhibit light handling marks within the fields. The design elements feature bold imagery of St. George slaying the dragon and Christ with three apostles weathering a tempestuous storm. These "coins" of Kremnitz were first struck in the 17th century and were intended to bring good luck to their owners. An attractive example and a wonderful representative of anecdotal history.
