Christian Hermann Roth gold 10 Ducats ND (c. 18th Century) XF45 NGC, Kremnitz mint, Fr-565, Huszar-42 var. An immense, gold offering featuring a stylized design of St. George slaying the dragon and a sleeping Christ with two apostles in the midst of a terrible storm. A choice example from this medallic series, with antiqued-golden surfaces that display moments of russet tone, as well as wear that is within the confines of the assigned grade. There are several, slightly different design motifs that accompany these medallic "coins" which were first struck during the 17th century, and this current specimen is a wonderful representative of the earlier type.
