Franz Joseph I gold Proof 100 Korona 1907-KB PR63 NGC, Kremnitz mint, KM490. Struck in a wonderfully artistic manner, with the centers on both sides carrying thick matte texture, while the the legends show typical proof mirrors. Struck for the 40th coronation anniversary of Franz Joseph I, the reverse depicts the very occasion with the execution again blurring the lines between coin and art. While not perfect preserved (as the grade suggests), the eye-appeal remains rather high for the grade, making the present piece all the more attractive when placed next to slightly higher graded, yet considerably more expensive brethren.
