Vittorio Emanuele III gold Matte 100 Lire 1925-R MS65 PCGS, Rome mint, KM66. Exceptionally choice for this popular dual-commemorative issue with typical olive-gold coloration atop the micro-granular surfaces and a hammered strike that perfectly renders the design. Often heavy marked as a type, the present example is just the opposite, with not a single visible surface-impeding mark, and only a set of faintly visible grazes to the left of Vittorio Emanuele's portrait that prevents an even loftier grade. One of the nicest examples of this type that we have encountered and very rare this fine! From The Alexander Collection
