Vittorio Emanuele III gold 100 Lire 1936-R Anno XIV MS67 NGC, Rome mint, KM83, Fr-35. Remarkable on every level, this virtually perfect specimen dazzles with golden-honey tone that is awash in full mint bloom. The surfaces are pristine, without any discernable marks, and the design elements are fully-struck and aesthetically pleasing. Featuring a standing, robed figure holding fasces and with the title of Emperor added to that of King after the conquest of Ethiopia. This rare, one-year type has an extremely low reported mintage of only 812 pieces, and this gem is currently the finest-known specimen by three points. From The Alexander Collection
