Ferdinand I gold 100 Lei 1922 (1928/9) MS64 NGC, London mint, KMX-M4, Fr-9, Stamb-085. The surfaces are wonderfully preserved with booming mint luster residing the fields and a strike that reaches completion. Light obverse marks define the grade, but the reverse is fully Gem. Although dated 1922, this issue was actually struck in 1928-1928 (after Ferdinand's death) in accordance with the 1927 decree to celebrate the 5th anniversary since his coronation as King of Romania. A rare grade for this prized issue with NGC having only graded 2 examples MS64 with none finer. From The Empire Collection
