Nicholas II silver Proof 5 Kopecks 1904 CПБ-AP PR62 NGC, St. Petersburg mint. Bitkin-181 (R4), KM-Y59a.1, mintage of 10 pieces, all in Proof. Obv. Crowned double-headed Imperial eagle with orb and scepter. Crowned date and value in wreath. Sharply struck, with fully mirrored fields. Minor hairlines are noted, with a slightly rough reverse rim. An amazing rarity and the only example certified by NGC, and PCGS, combined. We can find no record of sale since Aurea's sale of the Prokop Collection in 2002, Lot 383, and that piece was a well-circulated example. This date was missing from the famous Irving Goodman Collection, sold by Superior Galleries in 1991. Undoubtedly, one of the great rarities of twentieth century Russian numismatics.

Estimate: 40000-75000 USD
