SICILY. Syracuse. Dionysus I (405-367 BC). AR drachm (3.25 gm). Unsigned dies in the style of Eucleidas, struck ca. 405-400 BC. Helmeted head of Athena facing slightly left; four dolphins around / Leukaspis, holding shield and spear, advancing right; altar in background; to right, forepart of ram lying on its back left. SNG ANS 308-310. HGC 2, 1364. Rare. NGC (photo-certificate) Fine 4/5 - 1/5, scratches.
