An elegant coin, attractively toned. NGC Choice VF 4/5 - 5/5, Fine Style. Aegium was the last Greek city to strike coins for the Achaean League federation, which disbanded after 31 BC. The dies were produced by an artist of exceptional merit and feature a head of Zeus rendered with unusual sensitivity.
