GERMANICVS / CAESAR in two horizontal lines above, Germanicus, holding eagle-tipped scepter and reins, in car of triumphal quadriga right / SIGNIS RECEPT / DEVICTIS GERM in two lines across field, Germanicus standing left, raising hand and holding legionary eagle (aquila); S C across lower field. RIC I 57 (Gaius). RCV 1820. Some reverse roughness, otherwise nicely struck with an attractive reddish-brown patina. NGC Choice VF 5/5 - 2/5, porosity.
