Christ enthroned facing, raising hand in blessing and holding Gospels / Standing figures of Romanus, wearing loros of square pattern, four pellets on fold of robe, holding globus cruciger in left hand, and the Virgin Mary, nimbate, wearing pallium and maphorium, who reaches up with right hand to crown Romanus. Sear 1819. DOC 1d. NGC AU 5/5 - 4/5, clipped. Note: Though NGC cites this coin as "clipped," it falls within the normal weight range for this series and the visible edges betray no sign of clipping.
