Mary I bronze cast State of England Medal ND (1555) XF, Eimer-33, MI-72/20. 65mm/82.69gms. By. J. Trezzo. Obv: Leftward facing bust of Mary. Rev: Seated Mary facing right, people and dome surround. Technically UNC for detail with a delicate chasing in the fields that is hardly visible. A most-distinguished medal of exceptional artistry. Slightly narrower in diameter than mentioned in Eimer; possibly a 18th century copy. Rare and desirable quality nonetheless. Accompanied by an old manilla flip that describes it simply as, "magnificent!"
