Republic Counterstamped Peso 1894 (1854) VF35 NGC, Guatemala mint, KM215. A Chile 1854 Peso countermarked in 1894 with the dies for the 1894 1/2 Real in Guatemala. Host coin and countermark both Very Fine. Possibly a later strike of the countermark since the side dated 1894 shows rust evidence, and this would have been highly unlikely when used for the countermarking operation in that same year of 1894.
