Hiberno-Norse. Phase III (c.1035-60) Penny ND AU55 PCGS, Uncertain mint, 15.1 grs., S-6132, DF-24. (Blundered legends), draped bust left / (Blundered legends), long voided cross with triple crescent ends, a hand symbol in the first and fourth quarters. This example appears to have been struck badly off-center initially and then recentered and struck again by the mint worker. Part of the legend is clearly cutting across the neck of the bust and ghosts of the hand symbols on the reverse are noted in the legends.
