Republic Gran Colombia 1/4 Real 1821 Very Fine Corroded, Caracas mint, KM-C31. Very Fine with surface corrosion, but all important details very clear. Very possibly a previously unrecorded variety without the "19" inside radiant circle, as the diameter is smaller than is typically seen on the type and seemingly would not allow for such characters. Variety or not, a decent example of this very rare date, with perhaps two dozen confirmed examples and quite important as a type, being among the first Republican coins issued by Venezuela under the Republic of Gran Colombia.
