JAPAN: Anonymous, 14-16th centuries, AE shima-sen (2.35g), H-2.8, kai gen ho tsu, with tsu ho reversed and tsu inverted while the ho is abbreviated, somewhat pitted surfaces, crude VF, R. This example is cast in imitation of a Chinese Tang dynasty coin of kai yuan tong bao type with barbarous calligraphy.
