YEMEN: AV dinar (4.40g), contemporary East African imitation, of unknown Yemeni type, 3-line inscription on one side, circular inscription on other side, barbarous date & mint, VF to EF, RRR, ex Diego Suárez hoard. From a group of gold coins mounted into a gold belt which was found by divers off Diego Suárez (Antsiranana), Madagascar circa 1955-1965. Please note that all specimens from the belt have had mounts removed.
