M IVL PHILIPPVS CAES, bareheaded and draped bust right / PRINCIPI I VVENT around, S C across field, Philip II, in military attire, standing left, holding globe in outstretched right hand and reversed vertical spear. RIC IV 256a; Banti 9; Hunter 14-5 var. (break in rev. legend). VF, attractive dark green patina, earthen deposits, slight die shift on obverse, some faint marks.
