Galerius. As Caesar, AD 293-305. Æ Follis (26mm, 7.62 g, 12h). Treveri (Trier) mint, 2nd officina. Struck circa AD 298-299. Laureate, helmeted, and cuirassed bust left, holding spear forward, shield on left arm / Genius standing left, holding patera and cornucopia; B-*//TR. RIC VI – (but should be listed as 366b). Good VF, dark green and brown patina, light smoothing. Rare.
This type, with the spear pointing forward (obv. type X in RIC), is unpublished for Galerius, but is listed for Constantius I (RIC VI 366). It is only logical that the type exists for Constantius' co-Caesar, Galerius, and it would be RIC VI 366b.
