Leo II. AD 474. AV Solidus (21mm, 4.44 g, 6h). Constantinople mint, 4th officina. Pearl-diademed, helmeted, and cuirassed bust facing slightly right, holding spear over shoulder and shield / Leo and Zeno, enthroned facing, each nimbate and holding mappa; cross between, star above; Δ//CONOB. RIC X 803; MIRB 1c; Depeyrot 98/1. VF, toned, flan a bit wavy, evidence of having been placed in a bezel. Very rare.
