THRACE, Byzantion. Circa 260-245 BC. AV Stater (17mm, 8.50 g, 6h). In the name and types of Lysimachos. Diademed head of the deified Alexander right, with horn of Ammon / Athena Nikephoros seated left, left arm resting on shield, transverse spear in background; monogram to inner left. Unpublished in the standard references, but for others recently appearing on the market: CNG 84, lot 142 = Gorny & Mosch 118, lot 1193 (same dies); Goldberg 53, lot 1645 = Goldberg 47, lot 1246 (same dies); NAC 52, lot 783 (same dies). EF, underlying luster. Rare.
