Cuneiform Votive Cone. From Lagash, time of Gudea, 2141-2122 BC. Tip from fired clay votive nail, recording the rebuilding of one of the temples in Lagash. Standard inscription, beginning "To the god Nin-gir-su; the mightly man, the satrap Gudea,(details of specific dedication), dedicates this or some variant. 2.75" long. Only part of text preserved, with sufficient text to determine the form. ex Reece collection ca 1960.
