Teotihuacan Bust. A choice Teotihuacan bust from Mexico, ca. 650 – 750 AD. This Late Metepec example is 2” high and depicts an important member of the ruling elite. He is lavishly adorned with a fancy headdress, multiple necklaces and large ear ornaments. It shows good remnants of rare red pigment in the grooves. Mounted on stand. Ex Magor collection. Cf.
