PHOENICIA, Caesarea ad Libanum. Severus Alexander. As Caesar, AD 222. Æ (26mm, 6.70 g, 6h). Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Tetrastyle temple with pediment, central arch, and wings; in central shrine, Astarte standing facing, crowned by another figure (Victory?) on the right; in each wing stands a facing female deity with their hands raised. Lindgren & Kovacs 2288; BMC 9. Fine, dark green to black patina with earthen highlights/deposits, minor roughness.
