The Caesarians. Julius Caesar. Late 46-early 45 BC. AR Denarius (18mm, 2.72 g, 1h). Contemporary imitation, possibly Geto-Dacian. Diademed head of Venus right, with Cupid behind shoulder / Trophy with oval shield and carnyx (Gallic arms) between seated female and male captives. For prototype, cf. Crawford 468/1; cf. CRI 58; cf. Sydenham 1014; cf. RSC 13. Good Fine, toned, porous.
