IRELAND, Hiberno-Norse. Sihtric III Olafsson. Circa 995-1036. AR Penny (17mm, 1.18 g, 2h). Phase II Coinage, Long Cross type, blundered legends. Uncertain mint signature and moneyer. Struck circa 1018-1035. Draped bust left; inverted crozier (bishop's crook) behind / Voided long cross, with triple crescent ends; pellet in each angle. O'S Type 3; SCBI 8 (BM), 80; SCBC 6125A. Good VF, toned, a couple of peck marks.
