HISTORICAL MEDALS. Probus. AD 276-282. Cast WM Medal (32mm, 12.59 g, 12h). "Kaiser-Serie". After Christian Wermuth (circa 1686-1739) and his studio. Late 18th-19th century. Laureate and cuirassed bust right, holding shield and baton over shoulder; C•W•C•PR•CÆS• on truncation of bust / Biographical inscription in 21 lines; C• W• to either side along edge. Forrer VI 445. Good VF, a couple of minor marks.
