The reverse shows Neptune - which bears some resemblance to the so-called Lateran Poseidon -, flanked by two men carrying two persons each. Identified with the Catanean brothers, they are one of the most famous allegory of Pietas erga parentes. Sextus tried here to emphasize something more than just his devotion to his renowned father.
