Large bronze cannonball (rare) from the Consolacion (1681). 21 lb, 5" in diameter. Smooth and solid (as opposed to iron, which would rust away), with mostly dark-brown surfaces but some brassy color, very heavy and impressive. With photo-certificate, and pedigreed to our Auction #8, lot #2429. Recovered from: Consolacion, sunk in 1681 off Ecuador (Estimate: $600 - 900)
