MONOGRAPHS. Sylloge Nummorum Graecorum. Great Britain, Vol. V. Ashmolean Museum, Oxford. Part IX: Bosporus-Aeolis (nos. 1-1601, plates I-LIX). Oxford 2007. 4to (21.5x30cm), terracotta treated cloth with gold letters as issued. As New. Daehn 1972.9
A note from BCD: Indicative of the "depth" of the Ashmolean holdings in the autonomous silver and bronze of these areas. This writer has found two attribution mistakes that could probably be avoided if the editors submitted the manuscript to one or more third parties for scrutiny: no. 279 is from Elis (BCD Olympia 209) and no. 382 is a rare obol of the Tirynthians, struck at the site of Halieis in Argolid (BCD Peloponnesos 1279 = Nomos 6, 72).
Estimation: € 20
