A note from BCD: No less than 23 coins stamped with the well-known and highly coveted d'Este counterstamp are offered in this catalogue. There are two colour plates, one each of Roman bronze and of gold as well as two b+w enlargement plates, one each for Greek and Roman. The 168 lots of numismatic literature at the end of the sale included some very desirable titles such as a complete original Jameson that sold for 8500 Swiss Francs on an estimate of 4000 and an original Crete by Svoronos that went for 700 on an estimate of 250.
