Malaya and British Borneo Board of Commissioners of Currency $1000 21.3.1953 Pick 6a. An extreme rarity that once resided in the famed Frank Goon Collection which became the basis for the reference, Banknotes of British Malaya. Issued notes of this Pick number are listed only as "rare" and without any values in the Krause reference. The Linzmayer reference also does not list any values in any grade. It is certainly the only example that we have ever seen and we are excited to bring it to the numismatic community. It grades PMG Very Fine 30 Net with rust, a paper pull, and minor discoloration. We would also consider the rust and paper pull minor. It is an attractive mid-grade piece and without a doubt destined for another great collection.
