Kiangnan. Kuang-hsu Dollar ND (1898) UNC Details (Cleaning) PCGS, Nanking Mint, KM-Y145.1, L&M-210A, Kann-66d (cross-strokes in both letters "A" of KIANGNAN barely visible). A splendid Mint State example, with superbly defined features and light golden toning. Both sides exhibit lustrous surfaces with only a few tiny marks. Possibly "dipped" in the past, but lightly re-toned. There are very light die-cracks, on the obverse, running through the words KIANG NAN and PROVINCE. The only other example we have found with these exact die-breaks in the example sold by Stack's-Bowers in their August 2011 Hong Kong sale, Lot 60255. Very rare.
